Summary of Here on Earth

Once there, he forges a bond with an underprivileged girl, Samantha (Leelee Sobieski), who is living with a terminal illness. As the summer wanes and Kelley must confront the realities of life, he learns a valuable lesson that culminates in his valedictorian speech on graduation day.

TV Guide

As for first-time feature director Mark Piznarski, he should be cited for excessive use of slow motion, sun-dappled trees and golden light; one more cliche violation and his license to direct would be forfeit. Full Review
