Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, 2001

I'm one of the few who didn't read the book, so my opinion was formed with no regard to accuracy to the book. I felt that the movie was very well done, a nice set up to the chapters sure to follow. The acting was solid and the special effects looked pretty good, but at times to "clean" (read: a little fake). The only real problem I had with the movie was that Harry has no flaws to speak of, which makes him a little boring. I mean in every challenge that faced him he had no problem overcoming any. Even Superman had kryptonite. I mean, what would Hogwarts have done if Harry never showed up?????
