Harry Potter 7
The seventh and penultimate Harry Potter starts with the words: ‘These are dark times.’ They certainly are. There’s precious little sweetness and light around in this episode.
Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) is nearing the height of his powers, and Britain seems to have fallen into the hands of bureaucratic fascists only too eager to do the Dark Lord’s will.
Muggles - that’s non-wizards - arare being victimised in a way that’s reminiscent of the Jews in Nazi Germany.
Only Harry Potter and his friends can save us all, by finding four ‘horcruxes’ which will presumably mean the end of the Dark Lord. And there’s a magic sword to discover.
The aspect of this film that some will find disappointing is that it is essentially the first half of a treasure hunt. The climax will come with the eighth and last Harry Potter film.
There is not much to cheer about in this seventh episode, and it ends with the death of one important and much-loved character.
It is a must-see movie and is guaranteed to bring love, laughter and tears to the longly waited audience.

Senic Vistas poor for all audiences

At first I thought this was a kids movie, but it's too dark for that. Then I thought it was a drama, but it had little. Corny, cartoonish, Hollywood style villains. The Amazing Scenery is a plus, looks like it's straight out of a national geographic! And the nudity was a bit of a plus (nudity in harry potter ;) ). Overall, okay if your a fan, but much too much 'hollywood tone', worse than the other potter movies.

Harry Potter 7 pt.1 continues the trend of improving upon its predecessor, making it perhaps the best in the series. Although my biggest problem with the movie is also in the book. Hermione has great chemistry with Harry and absolutely none with Ron. This movie only cements that thought. Highly recommend if you're into the Potter flicks, you could do much worse in the theaters these days :)

At two and a half hours, you'd expect to get more than an introduction piece to what's supposed to be part 2. It is pretty tiring. Of course, the visual effects are top of the art, and the film is packed with action and thrill that will get you going, but in the sum of all things, when this is only an introduction to another 3 hour film, it makes you wonder – is it worth it?
Well, it worth it. If you're a fan…
