Summary of The Girl from Monday
Hal Hartley's "fake science fiction" film parodies the increasing commercialism of today's society, with people representing little more than their net worth. Identified by bar codes tattooed on their wrists, affection is a thing of the past, but a small group of rebels attempt to subvert the overwhelming consumerism. Jack (Bill Sage) is a part of the media megalopolis, apparently at one with the corporate machine, but there is room to wonder: could he actually be working for the resistance?
