I thought this movie was pretty good... resembles... alot like this story i read... but i cant actually put my finger on... kidding! Christmas Carol. I cant say it has an original style or plot. But i thought the movie was still pretty good!...

BAHHHHH HUMBUG!!
I thought this movie was pretty good... resembles... alot like this story i read... but i cant actually put my finger on... kidding! Christmas Carol. I cant say it has an original style or plot. But i thought the movie was still pretty good! Story is, as you all know about a selfish, playaa and cold hearted dude named Conner meen. Hes pretty much present day Scrooge. There were some scenes that were pretty fun to watch. Like when Conner's uncle was teaching the ways of the player life. Unfortunately, with chick flicks i was hoping to get a couple good love dovey songs outta the soundtrack. Only one that stood out to me was burning love. lets see lets see... The idea of falling in love with the one you first love is very cute! although it typically doesnt happen in real life...

I have seen a lot of movies in my life time and normally I am very easy to please! Even if I did not like a movie I would normally find some good in it! So I am a huge fan of Jenifer Garner (You Know ALIAS) so my wife and I saw this in the drive in....

I have seen a lot of movies in my life time and normally I am very easy to please! Even if I did not like a movie I would normally find some good in it! So I am a huge fan of Jenifer Garner (You Know ALIAS) so my wife and I saw this in the drive in. We continued to watch it hoping it would get better...it didn't. For a comedy we only laughed at one part the rest was filled with crude humor that maybe a immature kid would laugh at for hearing the word sex for the first time! Not only was it poor humor but the story line had so much potential but STUNK!!!!! If all you think is funny is sex sex sex and fall into the sex sex sex that's all I can say and think about category than this movie is for you! My wife and I as well as some of our friends still use this film as our inside joke of..."do you remember when we saw that horrible movie...I can't believe we stayed for it." I really do not see any good in this movie!

Should not be PG-13. Needs to be at least an R rating. Crude statements, innuendo, etc make it unpalatable for pre-adults. Even some adults will cringe.

Connor (McConaughey) was raised by Uncle Wayne (Michael Douglas). Wayne taught him how to reel-in women, and Connor used it to sleep with an endless parade of gorgeous women. He's shallow, hollow and seems emotionless. Upon attending his half-brother's wedding rehearsal, he reconnects with his first love Jenny (Jennifer Garner). He immediately tries to sleep with her. She declines his advances. He won't get with her until he changes his ways. Uncle Wayne appears as a ghost to try and tell him that he is going to end up alone. He adds that three ghosts will visit Connor to show him how bad of a person he is and what happened to all his past girlfriends. Emma Stone plays the first, Allison Vandermeersh. This film is funny for the 20 minutes she's in it. And then she leaves and we return to McConaughey trying to be funny and two other ghosts not being funny. Stone is the only reason this film is viewable.
On and on it goes, hurtling toward the painfully predictable ending. Those attending dont care, but it could at least be original. I hated How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, but I did laugh a few times. Not in this one. Even the jokes are old. tinyurl.com/d3j4og

this was one of those movies where u know what is going to happen> matthew is always the same in all movies i think and i like to see him play a different character once in a while

One of those films you mostly get the whole idea from the previews, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is just what you'd expect it to be: corny, sappy and, at times, unintentionally silly. But, I think that's what made this film work. Just when you expect all the corniness to be just that, you actually find yourself enjoying the story and the characters, laughing the whole way through, especially at the ridiculousness that is 'the sap'. And Matthew... well, he's nice to look at, even when he does look like a gay pirate. 3.5 stars. 5/31/09
