Okay
Eh, is the most I can say for this. I think Cage was a poor choice for actor in this one. Honestly, I think his flaming skull counterpart was a better actor than him. He just doesn't have that emotional tie to have with the movie or somebody that can express emotions well. His hair looked better in this movie than others but that's all I can say for him. The story line was shabby and the special effects were okay. All in all, not great, but not terrible.

OK, it's a love it or leave it flick. You can tell by the cover it doesn't take itself too seriously. Not bad at all.

Well, the special effects are pretty nice - but effects does not a movie make. First, Cage has got to be the worst actor for this part in my opinion. He just doesn't look or feel the part. Second, the story... well it just sucks. I don't mind comic...

Well, the special effects are pretty nice - but effects does not a movie make. First, Cage has got to be the worst actor for this part in my opinion. He just doesn't look or feel the part. Second, the story... well it just sucks. I don't mind comic interpretations, but put some sense of reality in there so we feel like it's happening. This movie is all effects and no substance. The best is when Sam Elliot flames up with his horse, ride across the desert only to say he's all done and then ride away? Purely to show how cool a blazing horse is. Watch it without any expectations and you may be entertained.

The whole idea of cinema is "Escapism" without having to work hard, (like when you have to read a book ;-) With that said, Ghost Rider was a good movie, it wasn't stop the presses great, simply good. Would I watch it again? Yes I would, in perhaps 6...

ALMOST FOUR STARS but too much of sexy Eva Mendes as the love interest brought down the film. Better than Spiderman 3 this film had it's flaws but it's a great action flic and pays homage to the old western films. Either you will enjoy it for what it is (a drink in hand helps) or you will find it to be a retread popcorn flic. I pick the latter and I enjoyed the performances of Nic Cage and Sam Elliott. Sit back with your favorite adult beverage and don't take this film seriously and enjoy the ride. It's fun with great CGI and worth a viewing.

From beginning to end, you'll be wondering why exactly Nicholas Cage was hired to play the Ghost Rider. Because the special effects in this movie far outweigh the acting skills of Cage. So why didn't they just make a completely CG movie, with a CG version of Cage, and just use his voiceover? Certainly, that is what they should have done, because if it wasn't for the amazing special effects in this film, it would have only warranted 1 star from me. Hopefully Cage will get his act together and make some smarter choices when it comes to his future films.
