Fifty Pills can be described as humorous. The plot revolves around suburban life, college life, and looking for sex. Its comic aspect comes from dark humor. Fifty Pills's main genre is comedy. In approach, it is realistic. It is set, at least in part, in the suburbs and in an urban environment. Fifty Pills is located in New York. It takes place in contemporary times. It is well suited for a date night and teens.
Summary of Fifty Pills
Indie prince Lou Taylor Pucci (THUMBSUCKER) plays Darren, a college student who will do anything to pay his tuition after losing his scholarship. Desperation turns the normally naive teen into a drug dealer as his only hope is to sell 50 Ecstasy pills in one day. The premise may sound dire, but this is a comedy of errors as Darren must deal with a host of comically shady characters, including his worldly roommate (John Hensley, NIP/TUCK). Kristen Bell (VERONICA MARS) plays the object of Darren's desire--and perhaps his real reason for wanting to stay in school.
