Far From the Madding Crowd, 1998

Very faithful to the book, and beautifully shot in the English countryside. Like most Hardy, the story is rather slow and terribly sad, but this one at least has it's happy ending. All of the actors were good, and I kind of liked that they were all "historically good looking". Meaning, not hot now, but certainly hot then.
