Factory Girl, 2006

Outwardly, there is nothing wrong with this film. It ably enough tells the story of Edie Sedgwick, as well as capturing Warhol and the Factory environment of the time. Miller and Pearce do fine jobs portraying real people, and manage to do somewhat better than 'impressions' of them...but upon closer inspection, the film has no soul. For such a crazy time, for such bizarre and painful events, it seems to tell the story with no opinion about them one way or another, and without a desire to cause the viewer to feel much, either. 'Tis a shame, because if done right, this movie could have been the next 'Capote'; as is, it's barely the next 'I Shot Andy Warhol'.
