Valuable lesson learned! AND Im not even religious! Would be a great movie for the family to watch together. Morgan Freeman is truely god! I got chills when he was making his lil monologue towards the end. ! <3 Steve Carell!

The critics tore this to pieces so I had pretty low expectations. Being an Office fan may have clouded my view but all in all this was a fun, cute & at the end, awe inspiring experience. Check it out but don't expect too much.

It has a great positive message and can be enjoyed by the whole family. Steve Carell is funnier than ever. John Goodman is the straight guy and gives all the laughs to Carell. Evan Almighty will be released on June 22nd, so don't miss it.

Much like "Bruce Almighty", this film fails to showcase the main character's talent to its full potential. The movie feels jumbled and thrown together, and the animals seem like they were mostly added on with CG animation - the animals should have been more of a focus here. The only redeeming qualities are the funny scenes that were in the original trailers.
Overall, it was as bad as I expected it to be. Watch Carell on "The Office" if you want to see him in true form.

This film is not a comedy. Once you accept that, you might enjoy it. This is 'family-friendly fare', which is strange, it being a sequel to Bruce Almighty and starring currently smoking-hot Carrell, who needs to hit comedy gold while the spotlight is on him. This movie is basically a message-oriented family film, and the laughs that it does evoke are the kind of pure, childish laughs you'd expect from, say, a 'Problem Child' movie. It's not bad, but it's not what you expect.
