Summary of Emotional Arithmetic

Thirty-five years after being interred together in a concentration camp, now-married Melanie (Sarandon) reunites with Jakob (von Sydow) and Christopher (Byrne), who still carries a torch for her. As the old companions sort through the pain of the past amidst the pressures of the present, old passions are stirred and powerful memories are resurrected.
