True to the original Die Hard, this film is totally unrealistic, yet still a blast to watch. Willis and Long have great chemistry and the special effects were brilliant without being overdone.

Was very surprised by this movie I have to say. This is for me the second best Die Hard movie, after the first one. The thing that's great about this is that it's not reaching so far that it becomes unrealistic or unplausible. Sure there are some scenes that stretch it like the car out of the tunnel or jet on the bridge, but for the most part you're not removed from the movie and saying "come on". The other great thing is Willis isn't playing the over the top badass knowing it all, in fact he's clueless as to what's going on most of the movie and has no idea how the computers work - so that's great, he's just there to stay alive and help however he can. We have the cliched captured daughter in the movie, but she'd good looking so what the heck, let's overlook that. On the whole, not a disappointment in any way.

THIS IS A BETTER MOVIE THAN YOU MIGHT EXPECT.
A well done (final?) sequel to the set of Die Hard movies I grew up loving. Before Bourne and other action movies, the Die Hard series were the ultimate in action. This one lived up to the others and would have normally gotten four strong stars but with so much competition it get three. I didnt see a point to the unrated version of the film since it seemed similar to the theatrical version of which you can view both. If you recently watched The Shooter with Marky Mark then you need to see a real action film and Live Free or Die Hard will suit you fine.

Live Free is what I wanted the previous films to do, and I feel like with this one, they did just that. This Die Hard is all-out, intense action with the trademark jokes you've come to expect. And after this Die Hard, I really do want the series to continue, which I would not have said after seeing the previous entries in the series. My only knock, which is worth 1/2 a star is that SOME moments can be so over-the-top ridiculous that they hurt the movie. Aside from that, I'd confidently say that this is the best in the Die Hard series yet.
