Children of the Corn, 1984

This only got rated as high as it did because of the potential for the plot’s premise and because the bastardised version of King’s short story was still worth the time put in to watch it. There are a lot of cheesy special effects, poor acting, and an overall bad cinematography style to the movie (even for a horror film), though one may find enough of the standard gimmicks present to be entertained. There is some creepy imagery in here, which unfortunately is ruined by a lack of the typical horror-gore and a terribly wide-open script.
