I almost always watch a movie in it's entiretly before judging it, but I could not sit through this one. I don't understand what the hype was about.

Great rendition
Great version of the play, this movie has a fantastic storyline, costumes and music. Renee Zelleweger shines like never before.

sorry. dont like it. maybe musicals are not exactly my thing, but when I compare it to Bob Fosse original musicals this movie is a pale shadow. the plot is nice: blind ambition, celebrity culture and all that, but the execution is really mediocre.

what a great modern musical! this has everything we would expect from a classic musical: catchy songs, great costumes and dances... plus a more modern attitude that results in a darker atmosphere and more cynical and witty plot. great fun for all...
