I really wanted to like this movie. However, the script is boring. What should have been a tense story about the choices we make and the consequences of them turns out to be a flat, uninvolving, emotionless film. Both leads, Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor did fine - in fact I don't agree that they should have switched roles as other reviewers suggested. It was interesting to see Colin Farrell as the needy brother and Ewan McGregor as the take-charge character. It's just that the script takes the characters from here to there and back without any emotional involvement required from the viewer. To make matters worse, each scene is filmed from the same wide angle. No close-ups, no pans, nothing to suggest the turmoil the characters are going through, and nothing to make you really care.

This is almost the same plot as 'Crimes & Misdemeanors' only it is not as interesting.
