I`m a big fan of the late 30s/early 40s screwball comedies. The Mount Rushmore of these movies, to me anyway, are `It Happened One Night`, `You Cant Take it with You`, `His Girl Friday` and this one. As of 10/19/10 the others are instant watch, this one a snail mail, but it`s worth the slot in your queue. If you like the other three, you will undoubtedly like this one. Snappy machine-gun dialogue, manic silly plot, love conquers all - what more could you ask for? Katherine Hepburn bounces off the master of screwball comedy, Cary Grant, very nicely and Ed Everett Horton stands out among the fine supporting cast. My favorite line, from Cary Grant: `Now it isnt that I dont like you, Susan, because, after all, in moments of quiet, Im strangely drawn toward you, but - well, there havent been any quiet moments.` Skip the latest Katherine Heigel/Jennifer Aniston/Kate Hudson debacle. Banish those empty hairdos from your queue and rent this to see how theyre SUPPOSED to make rom-coms. 5 stars.

If you've never seen screwball comedy and only want to see one, this is the one to see.
