A great movie that will make you see that there are more than one type of people in this world. Good for kids/teens as well as young adults and parents. This movie brings lots of sexual/racial/ethnic identity issues to the forefront, and I feel it's one of the few movies to do this in such a tasteful manner.

Somebody help me out here. What is the big deal? This is kid stuff, pure and simple, and while it succeeds just fine on the 'kid stuff' front, there are a large contingent of folks claiming that this movie is a GREAT MOVIE, which it clearly is not....

This is kid stuff, pure and simple, and while it succeeds just fine on the 'kid stuff' front, there are a large contingent of folks claiming that this movie is a GREAT MOVIE, which it clearly is not. You'd be just as well off renting the Rodney Dangerfield soccer extravaganza 'Ladybugs' or Rob Lowe's 'Slapshot'. I felt cheated by this movie's hype.

The story of Jesminder, a British girl from a religious Sikh/Indian family. Jesminder's family disaproves of her soccer playing and would prefer her to dress in a traditional sari and learn to cook Indian food.
This is movie is about learning to find yourself and achieving your goals. It has a great East meets West story line.
