Au Revoir Les Enfants, 1987

The 400 Blows was the first French film I ever saw, and, to say the least, I loved it. The way Truffaut dug into the mind of a kid, and how that kid thought was incredible. Now, here I am, watching this movie, and I get the same feeling. Au Revoir Les Enfants is an incredible movie, and, in my opinion, never touches on a dull moment. The only odd thing, for me, is that when I started the movie I for some reason expected it to be much older than what it actually was. But to my surprise it was made in the 80s...not a critique mind you, just an observation. Anyway, I've gotten off subject. Great movie, entertaining, gut wrenching, fantastic, and you should watch it now.
