Ark can be described as stylized, exciting, and bleak. The plot revolves around man versus machine, A.I., and space wars. The main genres are action, animation, and sci-fi. In approach, Ark is fantastical and serious. It takes place in the future. It is well suited for a boys' night.
Summary of Ark
An exciting CGI adventure set in a dystopia far away, Ark unfolds on the planet Alcyone, where centuries of war have made a vast wasteland of a once-lush world. The peaceful Cevean people were aided by an enigmatic priestess in the construction of a machine-city called the Ark, which is meant to be a refuge to carry its inhabitants to safety. But the Ceveans were soon forced from their Ark by the aggressive Storrions, who took control and forced the rightful owners into the desert. But the Storrions soon realized they lacked a pilot for the city, for without the Priestess's aid the Ark remains immobile. Only one person can navigate the mysterious domed metropolis, a young girl named Amarinth who is unaware of her powers. But as the destruction of the planet approaches and escape becomes imperative, Amarinth must realize her potential before it is too late. A tale of the destruction that comes from ignorance and intolerance between peoples, and a young girl who manages to transcend it, this science fiction extravaganza is exciting, moving, and illuminating.
