Apollo 13
I love this movie. Love Tom Hanks. Love Bill Paxton. Love Kevin Bacon. Love Gary Sinise. But the most I love the story. Everything goes wrong in space. You end up on the edge of your seat watching this. And it's based on a true story. With all the drama and suspension there's a lot of humour in the movie as well. Perfect combination.

I was so excited to get the new Apollo 13 movie yesterday (4/13) on Blu-ray. I am a huge Tom Hanks and Apollo 13 fan. Imagine my great disappointment when it wouldn't play! My Blu-ray player has the latest updates, but after I plugged in the CD and waited, the menu NEVER displayed. The menu screen showed up with music and swirling images, but the selectable menu items (play, setup, special features, etc) never displayed. It was Blank! Since this Blu-ray is a global release (not a regional release) I tried multiple times with the different language setups but it never worked. In looking at different reviews, it seems that you are REQUIRED to have an active internet connection for this movie to work at all. The internet connection is required so that the studio can do assertive marketing while you watch the movie. That is BAD! So sad!

Good movie and an excellent DVD. A superb example on how the media improves the actual movie: you can feel the cold of space in your living room!

A powerful story
A suspenseful and exciting drama. I've watched this movie several times and I wouldn't mind watching it again.
