After years of struggling to conceive, Roxy and Vinnie give birth to a beautiful child named Miranda. Each day is filled with joy, until they receive the bad news that Miranda is ill. It turns out that Miranda has AIDS, which she contracted from her parents. Roxy and Vinnie are shocked to discover that they were both infected from a blood transfusion following Roxy's miscarriage. Now, the Ventola family must attempt to be brave in the face of insurmountable odds if they intend to fight the disease and protect the family they've worked so hard to create.
