Summary of Analyze This

What happens when the worlds of the Mafia and psychiatry collide? This outrageous farce answers that question, as mob boss Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro) and psychiatrist Ben Sobol (Billy Crystal) are forced to work together. When a prominent leader of the New York Mafia suddenly starts having panic attacks, he enlists the help of a New York psychiatrist for a fast cure. The two men suddenly find themselves struggling to understand each other's professional and private lives as they battle the FBI and the impending threat of a Mafia takeover, not to mention an irritable fiancée (Lisa Kudrow) eager to get married.

The New York Times
As he demonstrated in "Groundhog Day," Ramis knows how to handle a high-concept story with unusual cleverness, and he does it again here. It helps to no end that De Niro and Crystal, despite their obvious differences, are perfectly in tune.

I was amused by this movie... Robert De Niro does a great job in his funny man role, Billy Crystal was good on the whole, except for when he pretends to be a gangster and Lisa Kudrow was her stereotypical, flaky self. The swearing did not bother me...

A very nice comedy.
I'm not sure how much I like De-Niro doing comedy. I think that he is much better in more serious roles. However, I still enjoyed this film pretty much. Billy Crystal has always been a superb comedian. He is perfect in the role of a shrink, and him...
