The story begins when concert promoter Rod Blue (Joel Edgerton) travels to Los Angeles to try and convince Sinatra's entourage that he is the man to stage a spectacular show for the legendary singer in Australia. But when the show gets the go ahead and Rod's career looks to be on the fast track to success, disaster strikes when his gossip coumnist girlfriend, Hilary Hunter (Portia de Rossi) asks Frank a few too many personal questions. But after lashing out at the media, Frank finds himself held captive in his hotel room as the powerful unions congregate outside.
