If you are a Charlize Theron fan, this is your movie. Charlize looks amazing in this movie. It is hard to believe that this is the same woman that starred in (Monster) and won the Academy Award for Best Actress. Aeon Flux, a Sci-Fi action flick that I enjoyed, 7 viewings in 4 days. The outfits in this movie are amazing. After watching this movie I was glad to see that there is a behind the scenes look at wardrobe, the attention to detail really shows on the screen. People are say things like "Eye Candy", My opinion, this was a "Feast"

Completely lacking the stylistic action and minimalist visual flair of its animated predecessor. The unfolding plot is ridiculous and even worse, the actions of the heroine are morally unjustified.

I guess I'm one of the few recent reviews that can't give it a favorable review. If you're expecting something similar to the anime that was on MTV, then you'll sadly be disappointed. With that said, I knew it wouldn't be like the anime, so just wanted to see a good action/sci-fi movie and still found it boring and unoriginal. Too many of these movies gloss over any real story and try to offer action without any real purpose. I liken this to Ultraviolet or Resident Evil, however this is slightly better than those.

This movie is "based" on the animated series, it is NOT the animated series reborn in live action. If that is what you expect you will be let down completely. There now :) I really enjoyed this film. The special effects were awesome and the action scenes were very well choreographed. I could "see" reflections of the animated series, so it made it easier to understand. With that said I suggest if you are interested that you watch it as if it were a "new" movie. If you've seen the animated series that'll help fill in some of the blanks.

I don't know why so many folks are down on this movie. I found it quite engaging, exciting and dynamic. Theron is perfect in the lead role.
