Summary of 12 Monkeys

When a man enters a hospital claiming to have journeyed back in time from the year 2025 to stop a killer virus from exterminating mankind, a beautiful psychologist decides he might be more than delusional. Terry Gilliam populates this labyrinthine, apocalyptic film with twisted characters and eerie revelations. The film was shot primarily in Philadelphia; Gilliam uses the more dilapidated area of the city to the film's apocalyptic advantage. The film is based on the 1962 French short film LA JETEE.

Not every Sci-Fi fan's favorite, but it marks the spot as one of a kind classic.

Well twisted Sci-Fi flick that doesn't scream Sci-Fi is a good thing. Especially when the movie is about love story, Sci-Fi genre doesn't really work well, however this film definitely delivers. Grainy and dark pitch tone of the cinematography... Read and rate it

A good movie bogged down by odd direction and cinematography choices. Seriously, not every shot has to be a dutch angle, and whats with the carnival music? The weirdest thing of all is that I think this movie caused me to have very odd dreams about... Read and rate it
